Dental Insurance and Smile Saver
As graduate students of UCSD, SIO students are covered with GSHIP insurance. Regular GSHIP dental insurance covers 80% of typical stuff (cleaning, exam) and 50% of extra stuff (cavities, x-rays, etc.) So a typical dental checkup might come to $50-$80. ($200-$300 before GSHIP pays its
percentage). You can see any dentist but if you see ones that are park of the "network" to minimize out of pocket expenses.
